How to handle a fire

Fire has served humanity for centuries in so many ways, but it is still one of the most dangerous elements. As we interact with fire daily, we need to be prepared for the dangers. In case of a fire outbreak, what can you do? It is okay to feel afraid, but you must also act fast!

  • If it is a small fire, immediately get your fire extinguisher and put it out within the first few minutes.
  • If your clothes catch fire, STOP, DROP to the floor, and ROLL to put out the flames.
  • If there is a lot of smoke, get down, cover your mouth and nose with a wet towel
  • Locate a safe exit, sound the alarm for everyone else in the building
  • Call fire fighters to attend to the emergency.
