Signs your teenager may be abusing drugs

Parents of teenagers often wonder what goes on behind closed doors. Knowing if there is something going on with your teenager can be difficult especially when it comes to drug or alcohol abuse.

Addiction is extremely dangerous especially in children, so preventing it or at least, catching it early is important. Even though you are likely already paying close attention to your children, knowing these five signs will help you notice catch possible addiction early:

  1. Physical signs like, watery eyes, tremor and shaking, red eyes, etc.
  2. Loss of interest in activities they usually love.
  3. New habit of acting aggressively, always angry or being overly defensive.
  4. Missing school and other regularly scheduled activities.
  5. Being extremely secretive.

Even though these signs might appear to be normal teenage behavior, do not ignore them, especially when your child exhibits more than one. Your child will thank you for it.
